B-52 Matrix 2000 will suffice for most school gigs, and is super easy to set up. You can even chain two together for a larger system. I'd suggest renting a few different systems and see what you like.

For most of my gigs in anything smaller than a gym I use two Mackie srm450s and a single B-52 18" sub.

i had the 52's in my fraternity basement at school. they go if you push em too hard.

we ended up getting 2 15" peavys and a yamaha 18"sub.

im rocking two 100watt harbingers right now i got on sale at GC. they do the trick... have also used Fender Passports which sound REAL nice (especially chained to my Harbingers)

& @ Mike..... i dj where i work too. so i gotta kinda keep it a bit clean (playing fuck you with my boss right there wouldnt go over real well-- i usually just throw a quick beatmash on it if i remember)

I love the value you get from Harbinger speakers. The quality is great, and the price is extremely low compared to the other big name brands.

Harbingers are a good deal, but I've seen many of them blow out at shows. Behringer and Yamaha both make good budget speakers as well.

Local music stores are a good place to start.

When She Turns 18 (LA Riots Club Remix) - Christian TV

May not be fitting, but it comes to mind. Try getting that scratch FX Ean got, kids go nuts when the DJ scratches.

HAH! lol me and my buddy are doing an 8th grade graduation in a month. Thats weird. We have NO idea so we had the music director put out a survey for music of whats kids like to hear. I got a sheet back that said

    Deadma5
    skrillex
    Daft Punk
    12th Planet
    Klepto

That kid will be very happy with us. Most of them just said rap, hip hop. Katy Perry fucking BEP's etc etc etc. Try the survey thing, wont hurt really.
