    Default [ot] ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Took off work today, I was planning on sitting down and writing a new track alllll day. I wake up, out of coffee... I decide to continue uncaffeinated, and the trackpad + keyboard on my macbook are fucked. They just stopped working. And it's a hardware problem, methinks, because I can't even boot in safe mode.

I'm a Linux nerd at heart, and this is the only macbook I've ever owned (2007, upgraded, no warranty). The fact that I have to take it to a "genius bar" and make an appointment (like at a doctor's office) really pisses me off. There is pretty much 0 online support or community support, just fanboys who name their computers floofy things and talk about how many apple products they've owned.

Stole my roommate's computer to rant while he's at work.

Please port Serato, or Traktor to Linux.

Edit: You'll have to excuse my communication skills... caffeine withdrawals...

Lol. Yeah that comment was a little twisted!

Sucks to hear about your computer troubles. Hope you have backed up the HD with time machine!

that definitely sucks dude...... kind of why i stuck with pc, if it's broke, i know i can get on the fly support........

if you're a linux junkie, why don't you dual boot win or mac on a linux machine?

    best of luck!

No such luck on the backup... I had a USB hub on the way, because my external was sucking up too much power...

@Halukar Dual booting seems messy to me, and I need all the HD space I can get.

It can be, i think this is more due to over bulky operating systems.

I think the biggest hurdle is starting your build from the ground up and making sure you have a good enough processor + ram...... that and drives that are 7200 rpm and above.

My USB mouse shat out recently >.>
    I can't turn bluetooth on without a mouse/keyboard.

My mouse suddenly started working, so I hopped on my bike and went down to best buy, bought a USB hub, and started making a time machine backup. The mouse/keyboard has been freezing/unfreezing in hour(ish) intervals ever since.

There's some hope for my data, as it's still backup up.

Its probably the USB port bro....I have issues with my one port.

Try a hub...from a working port that you know is working.

Better still...try someone elses computer as a test.

If its the actual device thats not playing along...open it carefully and check for any objects or debris that could have gotten in and created a short or something.

Also check for dry connections. Thats when the solder is all dull and flaky.(loose connection kinda thing)

    Or any burn indications.

My VCI100 Arcade did the same a while back. Its still dead.
Worked 100% the night before. Turned off, packed it away.

    Next morning....no dice.
