I have been known to get dirty looks at goth clubs for dropping some Rotterdam Terror Corp... I enjoy myself some hardstyle when I get pissed at the crowd and I'm drunk on Blackhaus.

Sometimes it's just too fuckin fast. Once you hit 160bpm it shouldn't be four to the floor, it should be drum and bass

    QFT

4x4 at anything over 150 imo just starts to sound stupid, especially with your standard hardstyle hyper-compressed basskicks.

Been listening to some hardstyle, the more breaks/dnb style stuff with more mixed up synths and proper basslines is decent. I reeeeealy cant stand the cheesy stuff tho. Hard Trance / Hard House is mostly pretty shit imo. Subjective I guess, but yeah.

Most Hardstyle will be between say 140-150 give or take but upwards of 150 i'd probably call it Hardcore...Its getting pretty big on the east coast of Aus however its mostly the cheese laden Qdance stuff...MC for a Hardstyle party?! WTF?! /EndRant

Anyway i don't mind it but you relay have to be in the mood...worst music possible if your not in the mood...damn i need sleep

    Another brisbanite, Yay!

A friend of a friend who i bought my padkontrol off mixes hardstyle, or what i perceive to be hardstyle (genres cross each others borders sometimes)
I can appreciate it but i agree with the above post - if you're not in the mood it's absolutely terrible.

Hardstyle to me is not gabba or breakcore ... to me hardstyle is what seems to have come out of the hard trance hard house happy hardcore sort of clubs.

I think Hard Trance can be fun, but usually when it sits around 140bpm and runs no longer than 4:00. I don't think hard trance pulls off the 7:00 tracks like PsyTrance.
