I went into alot of detail about this in another thread... I highly recomend a proper set of monitors for production, keeping your dj speakers seperate from what you produce on....

I have some logitech x-530 speakers that actually sound nice. I got them for $10 at a thrift store, however.

I also have two sets of JBL Control-1s. Great little speaker, produces sound much larger than you would imagine possible. Unpowered, so they require an amp - for example a Behringer A500.

On JBL Control 1's : I've looked up some info and some people recommend using a sub along with them. What are your thoughts on this ?
