Default Vestax VCI 300 Traktor Pro TSI

    Hi all,

I have finished mapping my VCI 300 for Traktor Pro and thought I would share it with you all.

    It's a 2 deck set-up:

Here Is The Link to the page where there is a full description, and pics.

like this mapping a lot (for my purposes more than claude's sorry claude!) as it leaves the trim and the levels untouched.....have you thought about maybe writing a macro so that pitch down triggers FX 1 on (chained) and pitch up triggers FX 1 on (advanced)? that would seem pretty intuitive to me but i'm not sure how the advanced FX mapping works as presumably you'd then need to map each parameter for each effect.....

maybe use the trims for the wet/dry and use the same modifier to be able to readjust the trim knob without changing the trim level? also, personal preference but i prefer the mirror style for the opposite decks on the FX (ie outer buttons change FX type, inner buttons toggle FX on/off)

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback.

I really set this up as a map for how I like to mix using Traktor & I know for some people there's lots left to do, like advanced fx & wet/dry, but the bottom line is I never use them so left them out.

Once the soft takeover is sorted out in the next update I will probably add these.

Tech you're right the mirror option probably makes more sense, but with the buttons named cue 1, cue 2 etc I didn't want to swap them over - too confusing. And I thought if i'm not mirroring the cues, then not to mirror the fx.

Does anyone know whether I could use a Nocturn as well for the fx?
Can I set the Nocturn to midi channel 2 for instance?

ok, one more thing ... maybe you can make the effect buttons light up by an active effect ?

EDIT: selfowned - they do light up :_)!!

I think this is the soft takeover issue. I wish that worked properly.

I have uploaded a new tsi with the soft takeover disabled here. That should fix it

Hey I replied to your site. Love the tsi....seriously awesome work

Would love to see a floating cuepoint, the scratch function, but awesome work.

I just have a problem with my sync button not working and my pitch faders.
Setup: VCI-300, Black Macbook 2.4ghz Dual core, 4gb Ram, Traktor Pro/ Serato Itch, Telephone Headphones.

is it possible to put the mini-scratch on the wheels, while not pressing them like on itch?

it would make the matching much easier:>
