DDM4000 vs Ecler Nuo-4 vs PCV-275

My 2 Cents.

I have owned a DDM4000 for 2+ years.

It has served me extremely well, but currently, I spin two decks at a time, and use Traktor for effects, and an X1 to control everything, so, in light of that...

My next mixer shall be an Ecler Nuo 2.0

And it WILL be like heaven to touch.

haha I like how Exokinetic always appears when the DDM is being discussed. I'm exactly the same way even though I dont have mine anymore.

So yeah, pickin up the Nuo4 for $360 tomorrow

A bit of topic, but how would you compare those hi quality 2 channel mixers, ecler nuo 2, mackie d2, xone 22?
Xone is the cheapest of them all, but is it good (maybe better?) then other two?

Nope.


The Xone:22 unfortunately is too gimped to get it down to that price points.

It cuts out too many features, as well as being manufactured in China now, instead of the UK, it seems the "quality" of components has fallen off.

Do a good search for "xone 22 issues" "xone 22 problems" and such.

IMHO your gonna get too many hits.

Thats why I decided on the Nuo 2.0 over the Xone, personally.

Nuo 2.0 is my favorite analogue mixer too. It's the smartest design & implementation of input/output connectivity & control I've seen. And with that size ...

... one day, i'd love to get a Nuo 2.0 ...

The question was not one of price.


He was confused, as even though they are all relatively around the same price point, it seemed the Xone was on the lowest end of the scale.

And general conjecture would have one assuming the mixer bearing the "xone" name might probably be the highest quality of the bunch.

In my opinion this would not be a very wise assumption, and my reasoning leads me to the Ecler as the "top of class" for the proposed selection of 2 channel mixers.

I also hear bad things about the xone22 since they moved the manufacturing in China.

still, the deal on these d2s is amazing, so someone could hook up

... regardless of the deal and the lack of built in audio interface, be it a TSP certified, Nuo 2.0 would be my mixer of choice. It's so damn cool!
