Default need a bit of help with x session pro...

    i got a m-audio x session pro a while ago,
basically i want to take it apart so i can paint the top,

when i take it apart, do i take the biggish looking screws to remove the green board so that the top is completely free?

also, would normal spray paint be okay to use on it?

last question, i also want to get new nobs and fader caps for it, anywhere in the uk where i could get some decent from that anyone knows of?

    any help would be appreciated.

    thanks...

Yeah, just remove the knobs and all the screws so that the pcb can come off. Really easy actually. I know I'm not the only one on here who has take their xsp apart.

Sand it with 400 grit and make sure you put plastic primer on it - if you dont follow these 2 steps then your paint will peel for sure.

You can put whatever you want over the top, just make sure its compatible with the type of top coat you put on.

If your going the spray can root then id say grab a can of polyurethane for the top coat - id try sticking away from enamels if possible.

Bento, have you done this before or are you just super knowledgeable with paints?
