I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a theremin act a midi device. Thought it'd be sweet to rig up to Traktor as a filter or other kind of effect.

spose if you can translate the output to midi it'd work... i'd like to see this happen tbh
I'm all for knobs and physical control but I think it'd really get your body into it and get you closer to the music if you can use big motions like raising and lowering your hand to impact the sound.
map a wii remote and nunchuk?
People are experimenting with kinect controllers which give you a similar experience. The other thing I've seen is a pseudo-theremin made with lasers where your hand movements interrupt the laser beams, sending a MIDI signal.
