    Default Improvisation or Set list???

    G'day DJTT.
I've got a question... when you play do you have a set track list you like to stick close to or do you play completely improvised and have a crazy amount of fun and stress trying to find two songs that will transition smoothly. anyways thanks.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez they're getting young around here . Keep a couple of gems handy W - make a 'My Squeeze's 18th' playlist to fall back on - the library scrolling can get tedious - otherwise go where it takes you......

I can't mix 'properly' on the fly, the problem with me is that I plan my mixes too much. If I improvised I'd probably just fade between breadowns, especially with DNB as some songs do not go well together at all.

I generally know (or have noted down) what tracks I particularly enjoy mixing between and sorta throw something together from there.

I do like to plan a full mix every now and again though.

I don't feel I have enough time to guess songs a couple times until I find one I like and still always have enough time to beatmatch it.

A little of column A and a little of column B. I like to have a few songs I'm really into ATM in a playlist but work them in only when I feel it's ready and not that often or sometimes not at all.

If you know the key of your songs, a improvised set with some planned landmarks is really great. You still need to know your music, otherwise you'll

    probably just fade between breakdowns
