Just moved down here today for the summer, don't know of anything to do....any suggestions for this area.
Oh or anything that I should do if I drive to chicago/st. louis

Chicago has been on fire the past year or two mate, plenty to pick from. You shouldn't have any issues finding anything to do music wise

Im from Champaign, IL! and they have this big monthly dub-step party called "Dub-Step Masquerade" at the Canopy Club ( http://www.canopyclub.com/canopy.php ) Its pretty popular, and they have maybe 4 or 5 Dj's in the night. Look it up!
but other than that nothing too crazy. and the big Dj of Champaign is DJ Belly. If you wanted to know
2x Midi-Fighters, 1x Technics 1200MK2, Xone 2:02, Traktor Pro 2, Macbook Pro 13', Audio 2, circuit bent Gameboy, aaaaand some poopy Logitech speakerz.
