    start at one speed, finish at another...

    Example;
    D Jahsta - Transmorph (Nostalgia remix)

    starts on breaks, goes dubstep, then after the breakdown switches to drumstep - and all feels a bit rushed to me...

    You take two tracks and do some nuts edit in a daw and then play it as one track.

    For example you might take a dubstep and a drumstep tune and create a transition track with them that increases from 140 to 175 bpm or something.

    "transition tracks"

    This is what actually got me on this kick, I'm going thru my library trying to find the tracks I have that without editing have those transitions. This fixation on doing it without the premade transitions has consumed the focus of my last several practice sessions. Going to give brads attempt a try, as just slapping fx over the top has sounded sloppy. Changing the time signature with an odd numbered beat sounds like it'll make more sense

    thanks brad for the insight. i'll look into that.. does it work for 140 to 175bpm transitions only ?

    for my transition from dub- to drumstep i use almost always drumstep remixes from a dubstep tune and make a transition.

    can be heard here, second to third track for exsample..

    if you're prepared to do the maths it can be used for other ranges. have tried using it to bring dnb out of dubstep, but that's a bit more brain work to pull off... doable though. but i have other methods for that...

    i just this for dropping down to dubstep

    I've got a bunch of ways, but the new traktor 2 autobouncer is my newest way. Anyone else using this?

    I'm a fan of the occasional autobounce, but it does sound like your mixing a tune in from the future.
