I finally sat down and set tonight aside to do it, and jammed for a bit to get in the groove. I discovered my midifighter wasn't working, which isn't ideal (probably need to reflash the new firmware), but I forged on regardless. I set aside a playlist folder, put a few tunes in there, mixed them up a bit and worked out a semblance of an order, then got going. Hit that record button, press play. A couple of fuckups later, I'm about 10 minutes in and it's going well. Some nice tracks in there, and pretty well mixed though I say so myself.
Then WHAM. Traktor crashes. That's NEVER happened to me before. I've had glitches sure, but this was the full on error message Traktor quit unexpectedly shabang. Fuck, I think to myself.
But no, I decide, I have said I'll do this mix so I will. Load up traktor again, of course it's dumped the mix it was recording, and the playlist I created, but never mind. Off I go again from scratch. First track is playing, just cueing the second, then all hell breaks loose. I'm getting screen freezes, Audio glitches, audio basically micro looping, and all I can do is force quit.
So, dear readers, the point I am coming to. I am sorry to say that I shall not be taking part in this particular dubstep competition, for one reason and one reason only. Traktor 2.0.2 being unstable as hell. Good luck to everyone participating.
