I agree Maschine is a studio tool that a few DJ's have adapted to use in the field.

Basically maschine with 8 faders on top would make me hold my money on puchasing a maschine right now.
It wouldn't be useless, but either you're a project studio that's better off using Maschine as a plugin or you're using much better converters than NI is going to bother putting on any of its stuff. I sure as hell would rather up a CPU load that doesn't matter anyway than run NI's converters into an Apogee, SSL, or even Avid A/D. And, seriously, what else can really run Maschine external? What else do people have sitting around with 16 inputs?
Actually, that'd be kinda cool…running it into something like a studiolive or some analog desk would be a fun live rig. I just don't think it's actually necessary.
Random question: is there a Komplete upgrade from Maschine? If there is, the 50% off might actually make me get off my @$$ and get the Maschine I've been wanting for a while. I keep playing with it in Guitar Center and convincing myself that I don't need to spend the money.
@mostapha... no upgrade to Komplete from Maschine... at the moment. When they released 1.6 they gave away Komplete Elements for free. It looks as though 1.7 integrates NI VST/AUs more completely like Kore. I would not be surprised if NI offer a discount on Komplete for Maschine owners when that is releaseed... it would certainly tempt me do buy it

I think they should release Trakor Pro 3 with no upgrade path just to fuck with everyone.
