"Dubstep is primarily influenced by dub culture of the West Indies"
    uhh.... ok sure...

" ‘Dub’ music evolved in Jamaica as a remix-driven genre with heavy emphasis on bass and drums."
why didnt you say that first?

"Like many other electronic genres, dub utilizes a collection of altering effects like reverb, delay, and tempo shifts."
    if you say so.

i have something to do so i have to stop there for now.

im in a 'to each his own' kind of mood today.

    somewhat relevant:

related track (while its still up)

im too lazy to edit out names, so if someone does that for me ill replace the image.

just to clarify....All brostep is dubstep, but not all dubstep is brostep.

Brostep artist include, Skrillex, Rusko, Datsik, Chrispy, etc..all the "rage/mosh" type music.

A good place to start with dubstep would be Kode 9...a little history never hurts.

I agree with TABS. Another great place to start is BBC Radio 1Xtra's "The Story of Dubstep." Google it, you'll find it. It's about 2 hours and covers almost all of early dubstep moving up into the "brostep revolution" in which brostep is discussed. I thought I knew a lot about dubstep before listening to this piece, but honestly, my mind was blown with how much more is out there.

    That article was bullshit.

It's like they googled the word dubstep and figured - hey, that'll do!

I like how they gave a sub focus remix as an example of rusko.

I like how they mention Major Lazer as an example of a dubstep artist overtaking buzzbands...
