Default tutorial? DJM 800 + traktor pro 2

    Hi everyone,

I want to configure my Pioneer DJM 800 so that I can use it in Traktor. This means MIDI mapping. i have no experience with is and was wondering is anyone has a proper tutorial for me?

Maybe even a mapping file already made for the DJM 800? I really need some help.

I have bought a midi to usb cable and Traktor does react to it.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks!

Traktor manual is a good place to start bro, followed by http://djbrute.co.uk/wp-content/plug...nload.php?id=1

After 4 or 5 years w/ the 800, I've finally gotten around to fiddling w/ this over the weekend. All I've got mapped right now is launching tracks w/ the channel faders. The big problem I find w/ the 800's midi implementation is that you can't really separate the midi from the regular functions. If you're only using 2 channels, you've got some knobs and faders to work with. But if you mix w/ 3 or 4 channels, it's really limiting what you can assign to control traktor without interfering w/ the mixers native functions.

Fader launch is cool tho (: I can post the details when I get home if you want, but it's dead simple.

    Default Please

If you could post the details, i would greatly appreciate it.

It is for a 2 channel and one CDJ 900. So I should be ok?

    Are there templates in Traktor?

    Thank you!

Okies, here ya go... but it's not much (:

If you've got Traktor reacting to the mixer, you're already most of the way there. You could have also used a straight midi cable to go from the mixer to your audio8.

For fader launch, you really just need one midi assignment per fader:
    Play/Pause, interaction mode: hold.

that's it really... good luck (:
