I'm surprised they went for the FCB10 as the foot controller. That vs a McMillen softstep, I know which one I think is further out of the box.
And no twitch???
And no BCR?!?!?!?!

ahhhh the ohm64 one day she will be mine.
Yeah, strange stuff being listed there. The (imo) quite useless Nocturn, but no UC-33e (which is widely used, but definitely doesn't conform to the "standard-dj-controller-layout")?

everytime i see the eks unit i remember the bummed look on the eks reps face at bpm last year...
him; ah you're interested in this controller
me; no, waiting to try the s4
I don't think it's meant to be a de facto list, as already mentioned there are loads of contenders that could have been included, enough for a whole new list.
Perhaps more about encouraging thinking outside the box, rather than just reaching for the regular two decks and a mixer affairs.
Right. So a CDJ imitator, a mixer imitator, an mpc imitator and ableton clip grid controllers defy convention?
I thought there might be something interesting here like some of the weirder faderfox gear, BCR, livid code, etc.
