    Default D&B Suggestions

Right, so I find myself sandwiched between Sub Focus and Bass Hunter on the stage at a festival in a couple of weeks. The guy asked me to start off with a bit of drum & bass and then move into my own thing, which is cool - probably what I would try and do to keep the crowd anyway.

Only problem - I'm not really a massive Drum & Bass kind of guy, so if anyone can suggest a few massive tunes it would be massively appreciated. Anything that will keep the energy from Sub Focus going!

I would say have a search on youtube for Loadstar (Lomax and Xample). Once you've listened to a few tunes by them, youtube should come up with some similar alternative artists.

Chase & Status' older stuff is really banging. The More The Alot album and earlier.

    check out www.breakbeat.co.uk

Half an hour or so on their downloads section will sort you out, if your playing after Sub Focus then i'd recommend staying away from the darker side of D&B as his crowd may not be feeling it. Definitely check out viper recordings, they have released some massive tunes recently and they will be set to please most audiences.

I thought Sub Focus was also playing a lot of electro/house and dubstep recently in his sets rather than just drum and bass anyway... Just stick to music with high energy and you'll smash it.

    Fantastic.

Dubstep I can do. Seeing as Bass Hunters on afterwards I reckon I'll D&B it for a while and then move towards faster paced 'popular' music; swedish house mafia, nero etc

Definitely checking out those sites though. Cheers
