TouchOSC - Template issues with iPad and Traktor
Hi
I have some issues I really want to fix up. My problem is that I cant use any other template than the demo for Traktor.
Is there anyone who have an solution? I am desperate!

Tech Guru
open template in the template editor
click sync
launch touch osc on ipad
find computer and click
the template will now be imported
remember if you are using midi over wireless you have to set up the midi CC/note data in the editor for each control .

thank you for your quick respons
This is what I have done, it works with the demo, but when I try it out with other templates, it Traktor doesnt respond..? :S

btw, what did you mean I have to if I am sync over wifi? (I am)

Tech Guru
are you on mac or pc?
you have to set the in and out puts to the ipad in the traktor midi settings
and make sure you map the buttons/faders etc...
if you have traktor open and you are pressing the ipad and you can see its sending the midi signal but nothing is happening you need to create a tsi in traktor by clicking "learn" on the controller's you want and assigning them to the touch osc controls

Sorry, I am on a Mac.
I dont have the chance to try the things you say right now, but will as soon as possible!

Tech Guru
then on mac you should have no problems
sorry i am shit at explaining things, its easier for me to be in front of the machine
but i hope this helps you in some way
Open touchOSC editor
Create a new template
Assign midi notes to each controller
(i use midi channel 3 as most controllers run on channel 1/2 so you wont get midi interference)
When you have completed your controller layout click the sync button at the top in editor.
Next launch OSC on ipad then click the "layout" button it will find your mac then just click the isp number or name whatever it is then it will transfer the layout to your ipad
Next open traktor make sure your inputs and outs are the name of the midi network you are running on my its "network session 1"
Then just start mapping.
Say you have a volume fader you want to use for deck A just go in the midi controller settings in traktor add Volume fader then click "learn"
then on your ipad move the fader you want to use and then thats it
just rince and repeat for each control.
