    Default Ableton Warping

Is there a good easy to interpret guide for ableton warping?

I can't seem to get it right no matter how many times i try... lot's of people say it's easy to do once you know how to do it, but I can't seem to get over the initial hurdle of "learnin how"....

I'm eagerly awaiting the ableton 8 as it looks like they've improved the user-friendliness of this feature... but for now I'm lost.

    help? anybody? lol

Vinkallmans guide to warping is exactly what you need until Live 8 comes out with it's more intuitive warping engine!

Hey S4racen - fancy meeting you here! You're right - I'm really looking forward to the new warp methods. Being able to actually stretch the waveform to the markers is gonna make it a whole lot easier for beginners...

hmm thanks for the info guys... after lookin at some of the vids it might be in my best interests to hold tight until the ableton8 release..
there's not much sense in clocking hours into learning a technique that will soon be obsolete.

get stuck in ... its using it more and more that makes you better

i dont see how stretching the wave form is any different to stretching or moving warp markers ...

... stop all this putting it off roll your sleeves up and get in there

Word of advice, be sure you let Ableton fully analyze the song you are wanting to warp before you actually hit the "Warp" button or else your Seg. BPM will automatically set itself to what the global groove tempo is and therefore throwing off your warping right from the get go. I had that happen to me a few times before I figured out what the hell I was doing wrong. Btw what kinda music are you trying to warp cus EDM should really be easy.
