    Default Need House music suggestions

I am looking for suggestions on classic house music (and electro house) that will appeal to a college audience who are expecting a dance party. Looking for stuff similar to Laidback Luke's music, and stuff as vocal and appealing as David Guetta. Also would love suggestions for top 40 house remixes. Vocals are definitely better as your average joe can feel more connected with the music, but that isn't going to stop me from playing pjanoo (5 times lol jk).

that is indeed some classic house JesC, love it!

some favorite artists and specific tracks I play at college house parties for a bunch of 18-21 year olds:

Wolfgang Gartner - Clap, Frenetica, Flashback
    Ida Corr
    Don Rimini
    Jokers of The Scene
Fake Blood - Mars (of course) and remixes, check out Cheap and Cheerful and Stuck on Repeat
    Jan Driver - Rat Alert
    Alex Kidd
    Foamo
    Project Bassline
    Jack Beats remixes
Deadmau5 - Hi Friend, and Reward is More Cheese
AC Slater -BanGer and remixes, check out Turn The Music Up and Samo Ti. Also good mixtapes to check out on his myspace.

A few choice Crookers and Beetroots tracks, and the Dolby Anol remix of Use Somebody which I discovered in this mix, all popular with the college kids.

Here are some ideas, but then again it might just be my taste. Most of the tunes are reasonably new and proberly arnt recognised as classics. I have included to tracks without vocals, but they fkin rock.

    Shine On_Spencer Hill Remix.

    Tell U Y feat Yasmeen_Disco 09 reflip

Youre Not Alone feat Lyz_Micha Moor Remix

    Children_Club Mix (no vocal)

Ready Or Not feat Antonella Rocco_Crime N Candys Christopher S Energetic Remix

    Silence_feat__Sarah_McLachlan_Niels_van_Gogh_vs_Th omas_Gold_Remix.

    So_Sexy_feat__Kim_Cooper_Jamie_Lewis_Darkroom_Mix *

    Take Me There_Chris Kaeser Remix

    Space_Klaas_Club_Remix *

    Somewhere_Beyond_feat__Steve_Edwards_TV_Rock_Mix

    Till_There_Was_You_Gabriel___Dresden_Club_Mix *

    Rusty_Guitar_Original_Mix (no vocal)

    Rhythm_Is_A_Dancer_Novy_vs__Snap

    Stay_John Dahlback Remix.

    Counting_Down_The_Days_feat__Andrea_Britton_Axwell _Vocal_Mix *

You can always download the "Promo Only" mainstream/radio/underground/alternative club CD's. They have a few songs on each that can be used and are "popular"(US). They are released monthly. I also check some for the dance radio's websites to get some ideas. They post most of the mixers late night set lists. Most also offer listen/buy features for alot of the songs they play. Amongst the great names above, I would also add Kaskade, Yves Larock, Ultra Nate, Kim Sozzi, Cascada, Peter Luts & Dominico, Freemasons, etc..and, as I'm sure you know, most top artists release mass amounts of remixes by alot of these artists too. Good luck.
I have a few 60min. mixes with similar songs for free download on my myspace.com/bodegabrad if you want to check any of them.

Has an incredible build up before it drops hat signiture sample.....

again my opinion, but it rocks so much harder

    JesC...

Nightcrawlers - Push the feeling on

Yesssssssssss!!!!! As soon as I saw this thread I thought of that song. The 2008 Robbie Rivera Remix is pretty tight, too.

Deadmau5's remix of Daft Punk's "Harder..." is excellent.

Kid Cudi's "Day N Nite (Crookers Remix)" is still pretty popular...

Marcel Woods - "New Feeling" is sick.

Anything by Digitalism. I'm personally a fan of 'Homezone.'

    Have fun...
