Default Traktor pro2 problem with timecode vinyl

I've recently upgraded top Traktor pro2 and have encountered a problem that doesn't happen with with TP1.

Basically TP2 won't give my a precise bpm read out through time code vinyl. It gives me a general bpm say 140.** for example, however the decimal points to the bpm detection jumps about all over the place and doesn't settle like the older program. It seems to jump between 140.30 up to 140.50 (tempo example) when set in one position but the decimal point .** is constantly moving and not static (won't settle precisely).

I haven't tried it with cdj's but to be fair i prefer timecode vinyl so don't really want to switch. Has anyone had this problem before and can anyone help me sort the problem

It's down to what you're choosing to have displayed on the track info dialog on the deck. If you have a rummage in the setting there's a 'settled' BPM that you can choose to have displayed.

I think there was an update which fixed this as well ... i think ...

Yeah the 2.0.2 update did help with the fluctuating BPM issue.

And there's a setting to display the correct BPM that doesn't jump around as much.

First upgrade to 2.0.2 then go to Preferences>Decks>Deck Heading> change BPM to stable BPM
