    Default qwerty MIDI controller

    Hey guys,
I've been doing research for a while on DIY MIDI controller's, and seeing as I'm an unemployed and rarely have ANY money, I decided on constructing a MIDI controller out of a keyboard, I know this is perfectly do-able, reading various forums and what not.

However, I wish to construct a box to house the key's in, and I want to rearrange the keys for better playing, is this possible? If so, is it worth it? I have next to no money, and even the KORG mini series is within my price range.

Any help would be very much appreciated

You could always just buy some key stickers. This one is for Serato, but I've seen ones for Traktor etc...

Yeah you can get stickers for Traktor pretty cheap. -

Or I'd consider the Akai's mini range (LPD8/LPK25) - Much better quality then Korg's range - Look alot sexier too

You could also look into the oxygen 8 (as Ean's just released the tsi for it).

The keyboard stickers would definitely be the cheapest option though :P

    Thanks guy's.

I started my project last night, I've just painted the exterior and am soon going to rearrange the key's.

Yeah, I have had my eyes on the Oxygen 8 for quite some time, I guess I'll just have to wait and save for a bit, other than that, this crappy keyboard will do for the time being!
