I was wondering if there is anything similar to the rane sl2 that would work with serato scratch live?

You do know that Serato only works with Serato hardware, right?

There are 5 interfaces that will work with Serato Scratch Live. SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4, and the Rane 68 mixer.
SL1 = $250-$350 used.
SL2 = ~$500 new, I've not seen many used since it's still quite new. It's an upgraded version of the SL1 which brings the sound quality up a touch.
SL3 = ~$500-$600 used, $700 new. 3 inputs/outputs.
SL4 = $899 new, haven't seen many used. 4 in's/outs.
Rane 68 = 4 channel mixer with an SL4 built in basically. Over $2000.
Those are the only interfaces that work with Serato Scratch Live. You can only use CDJ's and Turntables for platter control. As far as I know, no one has cracked the software to use with other audio interfaces since the SL boxes work as a dongle between the hardware/software. (And yes, that's an instance where dongle was used correctly in a sentence :P )
But yeah, Serato requires the proper interface. Depending on your budget, and what you want, you can get different options. I'm in the process of looking myself, so keeping an eye out.
^ You forgot about the Rane TTM57SL
alright... heres the deal man... do you want to bring your SL box to the club every time you go? Do you want to be the guy your crew always calls cause you have the Serato box? Or do you just show up and plug into one already installed etc???
At a larger legit party you should have a SL3 or similiar ready for you.
Having said that theres only 2 real choices for a serato box. an SL1 or SL4.
If you just need serato at the house etc etc theres absolutely no point in spending more money on the SL2 or SL3. Rane continues to support the SL1 and is perfectly fine for practicing and house parties, any other box is a waste of money.
If you are planning on bringing your SL box to large venues and let everyone else use yours then the ONLY SL box for you is the SL4 because of the Dual USB ports, it makes tag teaming serato DJ's a snap and switching between DJ's flawless. and the ttm57sl is still the sickest scratch mixer ever made....the ttm68 feels crappy for the money.
btw, Scratch live´s platter can be controlled by midi only, only the interface has to be connected
