Default Advice for switching mixes every week?

    Hey Guys,

So I've been spinning every week at a bar for a few weeks now, and I'm just wondering if any of my fellow tech heads have any advice on how to switch up your mixes every week, while still retaining a sound of your own.

I have the choice of spinning electro, house, and dubstep. I'm finding it hard to even find enough music to switch it up every week

stop thinking about it and just play. who cares if you play the same things week to week.... it keeps people coming back...

think of sweet new ways to drop awesome new tracks... or get fancy with mixing.

take risks.... the greats always do.

It's all about simply finding your music... Crate dig until you find tracks that fit your set and just throw them in.

Where are you playing? I'll come check you sometime, preferably not on a dubstep night though.

Well SirReal, I started a dubstep/house night so I'm afraid you might not be able to avoid a little dubstep if you come out. It's every Wednesday night, called Breathe at Swig Bar. You should for sure come by- I'll be using trakor and my VCI and Launchpad

Great advice- thanks guys. I think you're right- just switch it up a bit and get creative with my transitions. I think next I need to upgrade my firmware and get some of that FX jog wheel action going
