TPRO Scratch w/ DJIO or other soundcards

I recently read a post on the NI forums where a guy showed that you can use timecoded cd or vinyl with the xone4d mixer, even though it isn't certified by NI. I have a DJIO and was wondering if I get a single technics 1200 could I run it though the microphone line in on the DJIO and use it to control Tpro Scratch w/ a timecoded vinyl? I hope that I am not asking a very stupid question. I will also throw up a link later to the NI page with the xone 4d video if anyone is interested.

The reason why the Xone4d mixer can be used with timecode Vinyl is because the Xone is on its way to getting certification.
