Default Sound cutting out in one ear of my headphones

I got a pair of headphones (Sennheiser HD25 mk2) almost a year ago and the sound sometimes cuts out in one of the ears. The sound returns when I wiggle the cable round a bit, but it often takes a few attempts before the sound returns. It's getting to be quite annoying

Any ideas as to what it may be?

I'm interested in hearing what the answer is and if there are any fixes. I had the same problem a couple months earlier, and now the problematic ear is deaf. My headphones are from allen and heath and I've had them for about 1 and 1/2 years.

Nope It's not a short, it's a design flaw. I just wiggle the wire and it's fine.

HD25 you say? Replace the cable. or replug the plugs into the cups.

Maybe try just a touch of conductive grease on the plug to help the connection along.

Which end are you wiggling the cable? Could be a dodgy 3.5mm-1/4" adapter, I've had that problem before.

Also, weren't these the headphones everyone was praising so much? If they were THAT good then they shouldn't short out
