I dont think NI will bother with a mixer. Its one of those things companies are already doing better than NI ever could. I could see a market for the budget end, but is it worth jepoardising their current customer brand association of quality with sub par gear? I think not.
A new X1 would be nice, although I see no reason to change it. For DVS control, its the mutt's nuts, hands down, and it fits into any booth easily.
