Making a bio

I need to make a Bio for a promoter. can anyone suggest a good program to use to make a neat bio with maybe a pic in the background. I have a mac, so maybe there is something already available here.

Ummmmm... Just type it out in Word or TextEdit. You can even just type it directly into the body of the email. Pretty simple and straight forward.

You could make a nice pdf in keynote if you have it... word or pages is fine though

What i was getting at was to make something presentable as of you might see it in a magazine, or a promotion flyer.

Well the writing and art style is going to need to differ depending on the publication and anyway, this is stuff for the promoter/journalist to do, not you. At most you need to write something for your soundcloud/website/etc and you can come up with a brief paragraph with a pencil and some scrap paper.

Keep is simple and to the point. Here's one I just found:

DJ Cabbage-B has laid waste to dance floors up and down the Balkan Peninsular with his unapologetic mix of Namibian Flangedub and fusion cooking audiobooks. Having rapidly risen through the ranks at clubs like Flump, MyFootHurts216 and MicroSpinnaker, Cabbage-B’s was soon packing out the main room with his fortnightly residence at Soup Resistance before being spotted by Malcolm Suds, CEO of Some F8cker Just Backed Over My Monkey In Their Small Honda Recordings. By the summer of 2009 Cabbage released the self-titled album “Tomes of the GruntStepper” along with a global tour covering all of Budapest. 2011 sees Cabbage finishing off his second album and playing headlining slots at Mumpopvinegar in Sweden and HoneyFilter III in Belgium.
