Default Mix Advice Needed Please - Test Mix1

    Hi,

I am starting in a club in a 3 weeks time being in the wedding parties for a couple of years.
Before that straight sets with other DJ's in clubs.

I am facing a new way forward.
Here in the up coming gig we don't play sets as in R&B top 40 vocal or trance.
We need to play whatever fits at that moment so to speak.
Mixing out short if it's not hitting the spot.

I finally have my gear sorted and am busy beat gridding the tracks all to standard.
Don't rip me apart but please listen to the track below and tell me how you would mix it differently or give me advice on what you hear and don't like.

I thank you for any advice you may have.

The flow and transitions seem just fine to me-- rather smooth. But if the point was to demonstrate variety, they all seem to be somewhat similar in style and tempo.

    Hi PeterLo,

    Thank you for your input.
Here in SA guys are not so up to date on Genres and they have basic sets.
R&B/Hip Hop - Top40 (Called Power Hour Sometimes) - Club - Vocal - Trance and Hard

Those songs would fall over different times in the evening, early to late.

Pitbull & sugababes being early songs.

But I would like to play the moment, if you see the people moving towards a certain type of music change for a while.

Yes the transitions were also important.

Thank you, at least I know what I'm doing is good enough to put out there.
