Need Advice: How do you mix 80's music???

I'm going to DJ for this 80's themed event and I've never mixed 80's music before other than "sweet dreams" and the "safety dance"

So how do you guys do it? Can you give me some pointers and some 80's songs that can keep the crowd dancing?
