    Default VCI Firmware Update Cable

    Hi All,

I am working with Ean to try and put together a cheap (>$20) upgrade cable.
If you would be keen for an upgrade cable at this cost please vote on the poll so we can see if this is worth while.

    Chur,

Definitely Yes, If This Will Enable Me To Install FW Upgrades To The VCI.
(I Don't Know Why Vestax Didn't Design The VCI So That Users Could Easily Download/Update FW,
Like Most Other Manufactures Now Do)

yes please, I would definately buy the upgrade and if possible eans custom plates. But I thought this was already the original plan when he announced his release of the VCI-100 SE: also bringing out black upgrade plates with the VCI-100SE labeling available for purchase paired with the firmware emulation software....or was that cancelled?

Yes, it was the original plan... But I think the cable is the best choice: you can update the VCI firmware and you don't have to depend on a software that emulates the firmware changes (slower than an hardware solution).

I would buy both the cable and the plates as well. Thanks for looking into this.
Adding the ROM emulation just introduces another possible point of failure. It would be best to just have the updated ROM.
