    Default going vinyl...

okay guys. iīm totally sick of going to my local record dj store to spin some decent minimal tunes. so i thought of getting me some ttīs and a nice mixer.
the setup would look like a pair of 1210īs and a korg km-402 mixer (cause of the kaoss pad). so what do u think...is it to much for decent bedroom setup?

oh by the way...itīs just for the bedroom...traktor owns my heart!!!!

Setup sounds nice, but keep in mind that you going to dump over $1k in the setup. What kind of contoller could you get for 1k? I would buy a usb turntable to xfer the vinyl to mp3 and call it a day.

the mixer would be 350-400 euros and i could get the ttīs from a friend of mine for 120 euros each...i think itīs a damn good price and they would last aons...

yeah i think itīs a good deal...just need to same some cents before getting the shit together...better to have a good setup at home for me than to use pretty expensive stuff at a gig and get it damaged by drunk people...thats my opinion.

alot of good stuff is still only pressed on vinyl. The only way to get it is buy ripping it or other illegal means.

oh no. thats not the point. what i was trying to say is, that when i want to spin vinyl i have to go to the record store/ friends who own ttīs and mixer.
i started djing with traktor and keyboard just for fun...and now it is an obsession for me...i discovered that spinning mnml/tech/house is a lot more fun on vinyl than in traktor and i want to get to know all the mediums of spinning. it has nothing to do with beatport and not finding tracks. its just...that it is such a nice feeling spinning vinyl. in traktor i can do the craziest stuff like looping, beatmashing and shit... but sometimes i feel like: man i would love to have some ttīs at home...
