    Default the Xone:4D thread

So I've had my xone:4d for a while and lovin it.
I figured time to start a thread for it.
Personally, I use traktor and mess around with the mapping a bit, but for producing I go for ableton and mapping.
How do you guys use it and also what kind of effects/ how do you set up your effects in traktor? I'm not really impressed with most of the effects really...

top effects for me are Delay, Reverb, Iceverb, Xone 92

use the high pass filter with the xone
iceverb for buildups along with the high pass
delay normally use my djm 800s but use the freeze on the delay alot
and reverb normally cut the bass and add some reverb and create a mini-drop

I have one... it made sense for me as I had a DJM-800 + a 1D I used as a 3rd deck. I sold my external soundcard, 800, and a 1D for the same price as a used 4D. I know I under utilize it, but I still love it.

it's great. also quick question, what do you guize do about syncing tempos between traktor and the xone? I usually have traktor on external and have the 4d control it, but it always shows an ever changing tempo, and changing the tempo on the 4d is a hassle. is there a way too change the tempo other than by tenths?

You could sync them but the bpm detector on the xone it is not very good, but if you have other midi devices works great, set the tempo on the xone with the tap and connect via midi fx, keyboards , ableton, etc, and send the bpm and everything will be on sync.
