Honestly yeah, I don't see the advantage of the VCI over the Twitch anymore...
Note Traktor will never feature the slicer like in Itch.

It just won't. It's not something you can add with some midi trickery. It's beyond the capability of the software.

Took the plunge and managed to get a S4 for a very good price , cant wait to get it on Tuesday , do I need anything else cables etc.

get a VCI100. IMHO the S2 is kinda overprice and there are some damn good overlays that you can really get a lot out of the unit

VCI 100 + soundcard + firmware upgrade + traktor pro = more expensive than S2
