    Ok bad news for me the piece inside has totally snapped off..

    Anyone know if this can be fixed?...Or of a place in the UK that can fix it?

    Yeah it can be fixed messure the resistance value with a multimeter and try to find one identicle to it, then just solder in the new one yourself.

    Does anyone know what the part is actually called?

    EDIT: Ive found out that they are called Vertial Potentiometers, just need to get a multimeter and find the resistance value
