    Default Controllerist routine

What are the steps you guys take into making a controllerist routine?.....trying to create one at the moment and struggling to get started.

    Cheers

Good controllerism routines are really kind of rare because they're harder than they look. Start small with little pieces, then figure out how to combine them.

I would take a track that is mainly a strong beat (a recognisable one) and have that looped at a nice spot in the track. That will be your beats.

Then find a track (in the same key) that have a cool vocal or beat or synth melody.
Play around with Cue Points on it and see if you can come up with a little remix....similar to what DJ Rafik did with his Block Rocking Beats routine.

Then arrange it that it flows nicely!

Easier said than done.....I ain;t got SHIT!

But thats cuz I am lazy.

First off, can you do a controllerism routine. Are you capable..? Im not being sarcastic, i am genuinely asking.

Creating a routine is hard but you should try and copy one that Ean has done (there are tutorials) and get the gist of actually doing one first.

Then pick some tunes that you want to f*ck about with and try create one in a similar vein. After that you will have the skill to make an original one of your own.

There is nothing wrong with emulating/copying others if its the spring board to your own creativity.

Its better to take the driving test before you get in the Porsche
