hey Midifidler, quick question , when switching to the legacy firmware, should the date be the same as when in the new alternate firmware, for some reason i don't see a firmware change between the two, in legacy mode or any other standard or even osx remix the firmware is always "30 May 2012" and says up to date, so i am a little confused as for Eans Jam it on mapping, it says use the old firmware,so i am running into a few conflicts with the mapping, if you could give me a quick rundown on what and how to spot the differences between the different firmware would be appreciated.i only just got my 3D, so am new to how the software runs.

    Thanks

    Hi guys,
I have mavericks and the utility doesn't recognise my spectra.
How can i do? If i load any mappings in traktor they work, only the utility doesn't recognise it.
    Thanks

    Hey,
just reporting that Utility is not scaled properly when working on UHD resolutions - 3200x1800 and the most information is lost under the graphics. I still can use most of it, but it's not easy.

    kisses

I've looked into this and it is having issues with the DFU driver installation.

Ill fix the installer over the next few days however for those who want it NOW I have prepared the following document detailing how to fix this.

    Windows 7 DFU Driver Fix
I'm still encountering this problem with v2.85. However, I remember flashing firmware successfully before. could it be that a Windows 10 update has broken something?

In Device Manager ATXMEGA128A4U DFU Bootloader has a warning yellow triangle icon on it. I had this problem before and the solution was to install the ATXMEGA128A4U DFU Bootloader driver, which I just tried to do, but installation always fails:

Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device

Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks and happy 2020

Any progress on a Midifighter Utility that lets you select the device you want to edit ?

I have three Twisters and one 3D. Would be nice not to have to disconnect everything but the device I want to edit.

A simple dropdown menu would be fine, or an entry in the menus. Not expecting a selectable list of symbols at the top of the application window next to each other, in full colour of the setups they're using :P .

YES! I was coming here just to ask about this. I just bought a midi fighter twister and a midi fighter specter and not being able to switch between the two when editing is a huge PITA. I hope the utility and firmware have not been totally abandoned as they are great hardware (I would love so much to be able to assign any note to any button on the midi fighter specter for example!)

Well, Midi Fighter Utility is unchanged as of May 2024.

And there's no source code available that I could at least find, so nobody outside of the original developers can add this either. Is the source code that weird/embarrasing or is it tied up in some legal mumbo ?
