    Default TP2 & APC40 set up

    Sup everyone,

I got the APC40 to use with Abelton, but I also wanted to use it for TP2. I got the banks all working the way I want but, the only thing is the lights wont light up. Is there a setting Im missing?

    Thanks again!

Is this the 'red box' thing again?

somethingt to do with a few controllers being so closely tied to Ableton that they play less well with other systems, and require a bit of hackery - or am I just talking out of my arse.

In TP2, you have to map outputs, as well as inputs. Unfortunately, there is no "learn" function for outputs, so you have to select the note/CC yourself.

    Super secret happy trick:
    1. Turn on your APC40 or APC20
    2. Open up Ableton Live , and wait for the lights on the APC to switch to ableton "mode"
    3. Shut down Ableton Live. The lights should now shut down.
    4. Fire up traktor and map away, now things will work as they "should".

I'm working on a small script or program to do this without having to launch Ableton Live, as I figure there might be some out there who use the APC's without having installed Live.
    Fixing stuff that isn't broken.
