Expedites are still available here in the uk, think I may get one but worried about the quality of the unit. Don't want my gear damaged if it falls apart. Has anyone's ever fallen apart?

That also gives you a lot more room so that you're not building the laptop shelf at the absolute edge. Search the DJTT blog for "ikea" and you're set.
Don't have to buy another one to get the depth, just buy a desk top and place it on top. I have 3 2x2 Expedits in a row and two desktops on top of it, gives it so much more depth and a little bit more height.

I've had mines for nearly 5 years now with over 1000 records over 12 cubes and it's rock solid, with CDJs, Mixer and TTs on top of it all..

How do you all dress the back side of the LACK shelf? In my setup both sides will be visible and the back side of the LACK is pretty ugly IIRC.

Also, is this attachable to anything? I want mine to be on wheels.

I'll be using two KALLAX 2x4's.

You may want to try a site like this http://www.coolcasters.com
A lot of great looking casters. If you plan on using two kallax's I would suggest a bottom base for everything to sit on if you want to move it. This should help things from shifting. If the kallax is anything like the expedition be careful where you attach things to it. It's not solid. More so at the edges, but the middle isn't sturdy enough to screw into unless bolting all the way through.

The straight legs are Capita - the angled Capita typically need to be asked for and brought out by an employee, but all the lengths of straight ones are in the warehouse shelves section of the IKEA store, standard product.

I personally use carefully applied, high quality (smooth) black duct tape. Works well enough - seems most people just put it up to a wall.

Will start working on my setup soon, here is a sketchup model what do you guys think? I have a tv screen which isn't in use that I intend to mount on the wall and plug my laptop into. I'll also use a wireless keyboard for the purpose of typing in track names. I'd like to find a way of raising the height of my krk rp6's to ear level but cant find anything suitable for under £50, any suggestions? Will post pictures of progress.

This is very similar to the setup that I built except I didn't elevate the main surface - I decided to use feet on the bottom to bring the whole unit off the floor 4 inches. I also didn't use the angled legs on top as they weren't available anymore.

So far it has been great.
