    No hate from me - I enjoy it sometimes. It just reminds me of funny memories of a bunch of my friends sitting around thinkin they straight out da hood listening to this. I was all about it till I got into house.

    I can pick up new Ghetto Funk/Breaks stuff and drop it on the money fairly reliably after listening a couple of times to work out the structure of the tune - hip-hop is not like that, it's a lot less formulaic, and a lot less geared up for ease of DJ use (or at least, DJs that are used to 32 bar intro and outros)

    (and to be honest, half of that bragadiccio bullshit that passes for hip-hop in the US charts thesedays can suck a nut ... but that's just my opinion)
