    I just love 12s cause they're a design classic, industry standard, steeped in history, as well as the most solid turntables ever.

    It was more of a question for OP with his particular setup but discussion isn't really necessary since he's said that he's using TSP.

    Looks like I'm the Salmon swimming against the stream. I just picked up a pair of used Gemini PT-1000s and I have NO complaints. 100$ each, great torque, and pretty solid feeling. If you are on a budget and can find these, from what I've read, they were the last quality gemini table ever made.
