    just some thins to consider:

900s look great but they dont have hot cues.

the djm 800 will probably have better effects(not sure never used one) since the ones in traktor are mainly based off of those.

with rekordbox out you can now quantize and pre-organize your tracks so in that aspect both setups are equal

with the cdj you could just have all of your tracks on a usb... no more laptops.

s4 it very well integrated with traktor. not sure how big of a traktor fan you are, but this is what sold me the s4 the most specially the beatjump functionality on the s4.

thanks for your reply i am a huge fan of tracktor lol planning to sync it with ableton as well (similar to the brdge serato+ableton). i've read up about the s4 and heard most club won't allow digital DJ's..only cdj's so that's why i'm reconsidering buying the s4

    Can you beatmatch/use CDJs.

    yes - Get the s4
No - Get a cheaper pair of CDJs. CDJ 400s can do everything the 900s can, with half the pricetag and only a smaller jogwheel/screen

If you Can afford The Pioneer setup go for it , no hassel just show up to the club with a usb link the cdjs and thats it ,but with the S4 you have hook every thing up before hand.

i dont think he cares about money , the simplicity of the cdjs and djm are easier and like i wrote before its just easire to show up with a usb and some headphones instead of you $1000 laptop and $900 s4.

You mean there is no one playing a gig in your area as digital DJ? Even with just an x1, laptop, soundcard and house mixer? You guys got it rough out there if thats the case.
