I have recently got into mixing some deep house. However I find the tempo too slow for my liking. However when I increase the BPM to around 130 I think it flows fantastically.
What is your point of view on this?

Blasphemy, but there is nothing I can do to stop you .
Agreed, Deep house usually flows well between 118 to 124bpm. After that you start to loose the grooves and swing in the tracks
Just stick with Tech house if you're feeling stuff at 130bpm
= p
I wouldn't really enjoy it, but hell... do you thing. Maybe your tempo preference will lead you to step into a golden pile of shit ala Dave Nada.

The slower tempo is part of what makes it deep house to me and I can't really imagine trying to get the same vibe with a chill track sped up... but whatever works for you.
I actually do the exact opposite, sloooow baby slooow...

Deep house is all about finding the grooves between the beat. The more space or noise between each beat, the fuller the sound.
Here's some low BPM deep-house that somewhat explains what I tried to say:
Move D - Computer Flop ft. DJ La (106 BPM)

Ron Deacon - Secret Garden (120 BPM)

Can't imagine hearing either at 130...

It's a mood that can't be swung at 128 bpm...laid back...smoked out...chilled....
Let that be your guide...
