    Default Backlit Keyboards

How can we get our backlit keyboards (MacBook Pro) strobing to our tunes? Specifically Traktor tho... (not iTunes)

I can see it looking cool, but seriously I think you might as well leave them on constantly the backlighting is pretty handy. that being said I could see some use for it to impress the bitchezzz. but in all seriousness I have no idea.

I doubt, even if you figured out how to do it, that it would look good. Switch back and forth between off and the first on brightness. It takes a second for them to react and fully light up so they wouldn't be able to match the tempo of most EDM.

Theoretically I would assume you'd have to get the BPM from Traktor or whatever, send it to a program that would set the preferences for the backlighting to 0 and 100 in rhythm. That's what I assume the mechanics would be, as far as going about it no idea, AppleScript maybe?

I imagine that seems like a good idea, but I'd be willing to bet that after five minutes of that and you'll turn it off.

That would take up a lot of CPU as well ...

you could just sink it to the midi out clock or use the mic to do it. both would be pretty easy to write a program for. but y, it would be annoying as anything. PS it would take virtually no processing power or ram, stuff that takes up ram and processing are big files i.e. video doing and things like 3d graphics rendering. a program that listened for a midi clock to turn on and off the keyboard could probably be written in kbs, however with a high level language could be a couple of meg

The thing that would be neat would be making the apple logo on the back of my macbook move with the beat.

    That I could get into.

But he Apple logo is light up by the screen. Turn down your brightness and the logo dims. Try it.
