    Default Traktor v2.1.2 & MK2 Vinyl Thread.

NI has announced on their forums the list of updates for version 2.1.2

    So far:

    • Improved stability of sending and receiving MIDI Clock
    • Cueing behaviour when using CD Timecode fixed
    • Ignores Track Start Position offset in CD and Relative timecode mode
    • Phase offset when using CUP in instant mode fixed
    • Issue with CUP in instant mode for all decks fixed
    • Switching to built-in soundcard as fall-back issue resolved
    • MIDI controls "Tempo Sync", "Load Loop Play", "Load From List", "Track End Warning" now fixed
    • Drag & drop from Preview Player to Deck fixed
    • Fixed deck tempo tapping
    • Fixed Reset Deck Controls for Pitch Fader
    • Issue when loading a missing Sample to a Sample Slot now fixed
    • Starting ASIO control panel for some 3rd party devices from "Preferences/Audio Setup" now fixed
    • Crash when removing TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 fixed

Looks like they're fixing all the things they stuffed up in 2.1.1! Though I'm keen to see that they're fixing the CD cueing issue.

Oh god yes. I was so dissapointed when they broke shit all over the place with this latest release.

Simple things that should NOT have slipped through testing. I woulda rolled back but I didnt fancy tagging up near 200 songs again.

I just hope its released when its fixed instead of pushing it out the door too quickly and pissing all of us off again!

Also, curiously, NI has released a new version of their timecode CDs/Vinyl.

It seems that there will be some increase in functionality in the near future, as the new timecode is only valid from v2.1.1 onwards. I'm keen to see what NI have in the bag....

Very interesting stuff jez, nice one!

Im curious to see what else they can do with timecode. I didnt really see the need to rewrite it, it works as I expect.

I sincerely hope this isnt a case of 'if it aint broke, dont fix it'. I like the vinyl emulation and dont want them to break it.

I'm not sure about increase in functionality, I think it's more about not having to give N2IT a chunky licensing fee for every scratch license sold. So it probably just has equal/better response as the old timecode.

Had issues with timecode waiting to calibrate at gig on thursday. Ended up having to switch to controllers as the right deck refused to calibrate. Cables, carts and timecode vinyl both switched but no joy. Praying this gets fixed and asap.
