I have a bunch of these laying around my place (http://www.healthy-home-cleaning.com...products_id=55) and was wondering if they would be safe to use strictly to remove dust from my records. I read that it's important to dust records very often to maintain the quality of both the record and the needle, which makes sense. The article mentioned using a microfiber cloth (which these are) but left out any details past that. Just had to make sure these wouldn't slowly start scratching my records and I figure some veteran out there would have an answer.
Also, is it ridiculous to dust a record before every play? I figure it would only take a second, so if I was really trying to be quick about getting the next track rolling, I could still make a brief effort to dust the incoming record. I'm not sure if I'd just be looking stupid by doing this, but as far as mixing in the bedroom, I'm bound to do it as my tiny collection is already very near to my heart.
