I love this thread . Everyone has made jokes and then offered some decent advice.

Humour and Knowledge at the same time. Everyones a winner. The O.P gets his advice and we all have a giggle along the way.

One thing though, if your set sucks:

    I Love DJTT.

DJ Kue from San Francisco did a sweet remix of I'm On A Boat that's quite playable.

another question i just thought of.
im thinking about using my samson resolv 80a's as the speakers. do you think they would be good enough for about a 80 or so person party?

I rekon they would be enough, not ideal but decent. Tho a sub would be nice addition..... Loudspeakers always are a win for parties (look better as they are bigger 2 ;P).

On another note since your using monitors DEFINITELY get a hardware limiter to go between your mixer/soundcard and the speakers.... I made this mistake and paid for it with 2 blown tweaters and having to wait 3 months to get my Mackies back ( Still dont have them :'[ )

yeh i have a sub aswell,
was just thinking it would be easier to use my own stuff rather than having to hire some loudspeakers.
do loudspeakers use an RCA jack? so i can plug it straight into my soundcard?
