    Default Touch OSC problems

I have spent the better half of today trying to get touchosc to work with traktor and it just will not work.

I have followed this video to the T and I just could not get traktor to register anything. Osculator registers that my buttons are working but Traktor does not register anything. Is there anything that this video may have missed?

Alternatively I have followed this tutorial to bypass osculator altogether but I can't get my computer to find my iphone, and yes they are connected to the same network. Is there anything that tutorial may have missed?

I am using a 2011 MBP with Snow Leopord and an iphone 3gs with IOS 5.

    Guide:

    - Install TouchOSC on your iPhone/iPad
    - Install OSCulator on Mac
    - Install TouchOSC editor on Mac
    - Create an Ad-hoc network between Device and Mac
(click on wi-fi icon on mac, go to the bottom and select create network, then click create, turn device on airplane mode, go to wi-fi settings on device, join the MacBooks network) note: you don't have to do this every time, just easier to set up.
    - Go to TouchOSC Editor on Mac, and create your map, programme the controls in midi and assign them individual CC's.
    - Save the map and sync it to your device on iTunes.
    - Go on TouchOSC on your device
    - On settings click OSC:
    - Click on your macbook, on available hosts, this will connect the Device to the computer through TouchOSC.
    - Change the Outgoing port to 8000 and in to 9000
    - Open OSCulator
    - Move/Click a control on TouchOSC
    - This will register on OSCulator
    - Change the event type on OSCulator to MIDI CC
    - Enter the appropriate CC of the control into OSCulator
(i have Editor open at this point to aid remembering)
    - When you move that control it will now make a green light light up on the left of the Control on OSCulator, instead of orange.
    - Open Traktor
    - Go to controller settings and make a new generic midi
    - set the out port to OSCulator in
    - set the in port to OSCulator Out (8000)
    - select the control you want traktor to control from the 'add in..' button
    - click 'learn' and then move the control on touchOSC.
    - This has added the control. turn off learn and the control on traktor should work.

Save the programme in OSCulator as you'll need to load this every time you want it to work,

Thanks for that, got it all sorted out.

I happened to miss these two steps:

    - Change the event type on OSCulator to MIDI CC
    - Enter the appropriate CC of the control into OSCulator

I really don't remembering seeing them anywhere, but it's all good now!

No more having to switch to deck C and D on the S4 for me!
