    Default What controller to choose?

Hi im currently using TSP, 2 Technics decks and a DJM600. Im looking to buy a simple midi controller that I can use while on vacation, just sitting with my lap top in the sofa or going away to friends abroad without having to bring 30 kilos of gear.

I`ve been looking at the VCI 300 from Vestax, some Numark products and Hercules.

I play mostly minimal techno and im no beat jugler or scratch artist. I want to be able to mix comfortably on the midi board and I dont want to buy another external soundcard.

What do you think is the best product for my use?

Yup .. you need a soundcard full stop if you want to use it.

Well you could use your internal one but would be a bit rubbish but then again i guess your only using it whilst sofa'd out or on hols not liek blasting ouit over big rig! But even doing this you wouldnt be able to cue unless you converted the 1 x stereo into 2 monos.

And also: Should I use the LE version of Traktor that usually comes with the midi controller or can I use Traktor Scratch Pro which I allready own?

For me it will be a middle of the following:

    - BCR2000 (Love it for the versatility and durability)
    - Akai APC 40 (Not tested it yet, but boy...)
    - Numark NS7 or Stanton SCS.1d

But being that you're more into minimal, why not go for controllers like:
    - Xone1D
    - Akai APC40
    - Evolution UC33e
    - Or even the Behringer BCR2000.
