Default Beats by Dre Pro (White) - £125???

I can get these from a guy I've made contact with here in the UK. He'll take paypal, so I'm pretty sure that I'll be protected.

I'm in two minds about getting them. I know there are knock off's about (and I'm sure these are) but I've read a lot of reviews that say the knock off's still have pretty decent drivers in them and sound great.

Would any one touch these with a barge pole???

[EDIT: my RGAS has been playing up a bit lately - and I haven't bought anything for ages!!!]

I wouldn't spend that much on a pair of knock off headphones. Plus I've heard these cans are pretty bass heavy for Djing with. Great for normal listening though I expect.

You could get the TMA-1's for that.

Don't get the Beats headphones. They are crap (but specifically for DJing) and you will just look like a dick.

Yeah, we have discussed this a few times on DJTT and the consensus (most people) say that they are overpriced, colour the sound to much, and make you look like a cock (thats what people have said but its just opinion).

Every decent DJ in my city thinks that they are shit. I know this cus we have discussed it on Facebook.

For that money id go a bit further and get some HD 25s

I don't know how the prices are in the UK, but in Canada you can buy a pair of Xone Xd-53, which in my opinion are just as good as the HDJ2000s with a $100 price cut.

Seriously mate, add a lil bit more and get the Sennheiser HD-25...

Am currently using the HDJ2000s, bought it coz of its looks, and regret it. Want to change to HD-25s..

I have tried most DJ headphones and love the Ultrasone DJ1 Pros & the HD-25s.

The HD-25s & Ultrasones are a bit on the bright side. If you're looking for warm-sounding headphones then I would suggest the Xone XD-53.

The XD-53s are slightly warm due to a boost in the low freq range. But it's very easy to listen to and won't fatigue your ears as quick as the HDJ2000s. Also they don't distort as quick (it takes the same volume level to distort the XD-53s and the HDJ2000s).

As for the Beat Pros, have tried them, and it does colour sound.. Really wouldn't suggest them...

I suggest also Pioneer HDJ-500, had to play with them for couple of hours, and they where good as for iPod and DJ'ing, and are in your price range
